Some guys went to the Catholic Church - Shrine of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist - Patron of Madaba and Jordan. Others are taking time here at the Hotel.
JORDAN is markedly different from what we have seen in ISRAEL. Two photo's below help capture the atmosphere below...
Major difference seems to be the fact that there are basically no Jewish people living here - unlike Israel - which the majority of people are Jewish...
AFTERNOON: Today we will go to MT. NEBO - the location that Moses ascended to get a view of the PROMISE LAND and his death.
LOOK-UP: Deuteronomy 32:48 ff the conclusion of the book (34:12). It is the account of this remarkable event in Salvation History.
"And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land...And the LORD said to him, "This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there." So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD..." Deut. 34:1, 4-5
