Day 16: Mount of Olives - Dominus Flevit "The Lord Wept" - The Agony in the Garden

Day 16 - Thursday Jan 15.

5 AM - 6:30 AM:  A number of men awoke to visit and pray at the Holy Sepulchre Church.

6:30 AM:  Breakfast at Hotel.

7:15 AM:  On the coach for a short ride.

8:15 AM:  Holy Mass.  On Mount of Olives - Dominus Flevit Church "The Lord Wept."

LOOK-UP:  LUKE 19:41-42  "And when he drew near and saw the city he wept over it, saying, "Would that even today you knew the things that make for peace!"

MATTHEW 23:37  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you!  How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!"

9:45 AM:  Garden of Gethsemane - Church of the Nations - Church of the Agony in the Garden.

LOOK-UP:  MATTHEW 26:36-46; MARK 14:32; LUKE 22:39-46 "And he came out, and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him.  And when he came to the place he said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."  And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed...And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down upon the ground..."

11:30 AM:  Hezekiah's Tunnel and Pool of Siloam.

LOOK-UP:  JOHN 9:1-12 ...Jesus spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and anointed the man's eyes with the clay, saying to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Silo'am." So he went and washed and came back seeing.
